Fishing in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia
From trout in the Toccoa River to a large variety of fish at Lake Blue Ridge and Lake Nottely , this area has an abundance of lakes, rivers and streams that are teaming with fish.
Streams are stocked with Rainbow and Brown trout from early April through mid-September.

Fish Hatcheries
Chattahoochee Forest National Fish Hatchery
Constructed in 1937 the hatchery produces over 1 million trout each year to stock area tailwaters, creeks, and streams. Fishing is allowed in Rock Creek which runs through the hatchery. Cooper Creek, located 15 miles northwest of Suches on Hwy 60 is great for trout.
